Statistics are the basis for understanding economic and social phenomena, and they also play an important role in providing the necessary information for foresight in decision-making in national policy.
Therefore, NABO has published the "Handbook of National Finance 2012," which includes finances and economy statistics at the beginning of the 19th National Assembly, in order to effectively support exertion of legislative and fiscal power by members of parliament.
This handbook falls into 3 chapters. Chapter 1, “Financial Statistics,” contains statistics about the total amount of the national budget of Korea. Chapter 2, “Statistics of Each Committee,” deals with amounts of budget and major fiscal programs, split into the respective government departments. Finally, Chapter 3, “Economic Statistics,” handles the macroeconomic statistics of Korea.
