With the rapid growth of national debt and the unrelenting continuation of national expansionary financial policy, it is demanded that national financial projects be efficiently carried out. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare some policies to secure financial soundness of Korean economy during the National Assembly's regular session.
For the purpose of achieving financial sustainability of Korean economy, it is needed not only to predict accurate mid-term financial requirement, but also to restructure and adjust the national revenue-expenditure relation. In addition whether main national projects are carried out efficiently and effectively or not should be evaluated in advance.
Keeping those issues in mind, the National Assembly Budget Office(NABO) has selected 138 projects which account for 269 trillion won after carefully reviewing almost all national financial projects, and has come to publish 'Major National Projects Analysis at Issue in 2009'.
